The questions below are grouped into five categories:

ASPIRING TEACHER CANDIDATES

Q:
What if I don't want to commit to community service, can I still teach for Silver Age Yoga?
A:
No. You can complete the full program (both courses) and gain an enormous knowledge of teaching Yoga to seniors in your practice. To teach for Silver Age Yoga you MUST first complete the 25 hours of verified community service, which is the very heart of our program.
Q:
How often and where are the workshops conducted? What is the date of the next workshop?
A:
Check the page for the the Advanced Hands-On Course for updates regarding dates and location, or contact us directly to learn more.
Q:
If I change my mind or am unable to attend, is the tuition for the Advanced Hands-On Course refundable?
A:
A non-refundable deposit of $100 must be made 30 days before the workshop starting date. The rest of the tuition is due 10 days prior to the starting date of the workshop.

FINANCIAL SUPPORTERS

Q:
Can I see how my donation is being used?
A:
Silver Age Yoga's financial report, as required by the government regulatory agencies (IRS, and FTB) is of public record, and is available upon request.
Q:
Is all my donation tax deductible?
A:
Yes, within the applicable laws. Silver Age Yoga is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit California corporation. We recommend that seek your accountant's advice.

PUBLICITY

Q:
Do you have qualified public speaker(s) available, and do you charge for speaking appearance?
A:
Yes, we have well qualified speaker and no, we don't charge for appearances.
Q:
Do you post your public events on your website?
A:
We're in the process of developing a calendar. You can always contact us by email or phone for the latest information regarding events or any other news.

SENIOR CENTERS

Q:
Do your teachers have liability insurance?
A:
Yes, we require that they carry their own liability insurance. We also require that all class participants in your facility sign a waiver indemnifying our teacher(s), our organization, our directors, our agents in any capacity from any and all liability.
Q:
Do you teach disabled seniors?
A:
Our certification's present basic curriculum does NOT include Non-Ambulatory teacher training. However we may be able to refer teachers who we are affiliated with, who can offer such services.
Q:
Can you teach at a country club?
A:
NO. Our Mission statement clearly states that our efforts be directed toward helping the economically disadvantaged seniors. We can, however, refer you to our Silver Age Yoga certified teachers, who are well trained and skilled to teach seniors at any age. Your organization must make direct contact with the referred teacher and make your own arrangement, including details of compensation.

A:
The list of the centers where we teach is updated in regular intervals. If you don't find a location on our list near to your home, give us a call on our toll free number. As an alternative you can purchase our DVD and Practice Silver Age Yoga at Home.
