How Does the Program Work?
Silver Age Yoga is absolutely free to senior participants. We do not solicit nor do we accept money from our students.
Certified yoga teachers enter into Silver Age Yoga's certification course, where they receive specialized training through an intensive two part training program. Part 1, the Silver Age Yoga Basic Online Course provides yoga teachers with special knowledge of geriatric science-based yoga. Part 2, the Advanced Hands-On Course is a two day special skill development intensive.
Senior Yoga Class
At the present time, participating teachers, in exchange for a partial tuition rebate, agree to perform a certain amount of community service.
Upon completion of their agreed upon community service, if Silver Age Yoga decides to continue the program at the senior venue, the teacher will be paid for continued teaching by Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach. The pay rate and the length of engagement depends on available funding.
