To develop a pool of dedicated yoga teachers who go on to become Silver Age Yoga teachers while meeting or exceeding Yoga Alliance standards.
WHY BECOME A YOGA TEACHER?

and two provinces of Canada.
Alternative medical care, CAM, (Complimentary and Alternative Medicine) is recognized as a powerful modality to prevent a number of diseases. Yoga is gaining a well deserved place on the CAM list and is one of the fastest growing physical disciplines today. Countless thousands are joining the ranks of yoga practitioners as yoga embraces diversity of ethnicity, age, and gender.
Essential Yoga Training offers a 200 hour basic-level, comprehensive yoga teacher training program. The training is offered over ten to twelve weekends in San Diego and satisfies the pre-requisite for further training to become a Silver Age Yoga certified teacher.
Components of Essential Yoga Training Program
Essential Yoga Training strives to exceed the national standards set by Yoga Alliance. Graduates become well trained, skilled yoga teachers upon completion of this training program. A varied and eclectic curriculum is offered. This includes a number of guest lecturers, who are often leading authorities in their particular discipline.
ESSENTIAL YOGA TRAINING also includes the following:
Introduction to different yoga lineages which are taught by seasoned instructors, in their respective traditions.
