When I enrolled in the first Silver Age Yoga class, I had high blood pressure and had been diagnosed as pre-osteoporosis. Prior to learning about the class, my husband had attended an elder law meeting where the speaker-a doctor- said a low dose of aspirin daily and yoga were all seniors needed to make their lives better. It was my husband's suggestion that I sign up for the class. I attended regularly for a year. When I returned to the hospital for another bone density scan, there was no sign of osteoporosis.
