Join Us at the Del Mar Senior Fair – A Day of Community, Connection & Well-Being

We’re excited to share that Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach (SAYCO) will be part of this year’s Del Mar Senior Fair—and we would love to see you there.

Taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 12:00–4:00 PM at the Del Mar Civic Center (Upper Plaza), this free community gathering is a beautiful opportunity to come together, connect with local resources, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our senior community.

A Day Designed for You

The Del Mar Senior Fair brings together nonprofit and government organizations, wellness practitioners, and community leaders—all with a shared intention: to support older adults and caregivers in living healthy, connected, and empowered lives.

Throughout the afternoon, you can:

  • Explore local resources for seniors and caregivers
  • Enjoy live music, entertainment, and activity demonstrations
  • Enter opportunity drawings
  • Experience free community yoga with an ocean view
  • Visit the Del Mar Farmers Market and support local vendors

As highlighted on the event flyer, this is truly a space to learn, connect, and enjoy community in a meaningful way.

Visit SAYCO at Our Booth

We are honored to be part of this event and to continue sharing our mission of making yoga accessible to seniors across San Diego County.

When you stop by our booth, you can:

  • Learn about our free and donation-based yoga classes (chair, mat, and standing)
  • Meet members of our teaching team and community
  • Ask questions about joining a class or becoming involved
  • Discover ways to support or partner with SAYCO

Whether you’re a longtime student, new to our community, or simply curious, we would love to connect with you in person.

Come Say Hello

This fair is more than an event—it’s a reminder of the power of community, movement, and shared presence.

We invite you to swing by, say hello, and spend the afternoon with us. Bring a friend, explore what’s available in your community, and enjoy a day rooted in connection and care.

We can’t wait to see you there

Alchemy Crystal Bowl Sound Bath to support SAYCO: Sunday, March 9, 2025

Join us for SAYCO Sound Bath.

Alchemy Crystal Bowl Sound Bath to support SAYCO
Please note new location: 3880 Valley Centre Dr., Suite 201, San Diego, CA 92130

Quantum physicists tell us that “Everything in the Universe is vibration and sound” including us! We are vibrational beings and our bodies are made of mostly water, a wonderful conductor of vibration, therefore, our bodies respond positively to the healing, high frequencies of singing crystal bowls.

A Singing Bowl Sound Bath is a full-body meditative experience. Those attending lie down on yoga mats and listen to the resonant sounds created by various crystal or metal bowls, often called singing bowls, played with a small wooden mallet. This creates an echoing-vibrating sound that ‘bathes’ your body. When we relax with the sound of the bowls, their vibrations can release mental and emotional pain (worries, fear, anger, sadness, anxiety, depression, insomnia), reduced tension and diminished pain, and can have a deep relaxation of both sides of the brain.

It’s an acoustic sound-healing journey that allows the listener to enter a meditative state to feel calm, relaxed, grounded, and focused. It has been described as floating on a cloud, feeling peaceful, happy, and energized.

Presented by Cindy and Scott Smithers; The Center in Escondido.
